Debt Recovery Fees & Instructions
Understand WKA Advocates debt recovery instructions, fee scopes, court expenses and information needed before legal work begins on your Kenyan claim.
Agree the Scope Before Work Begins
Debt recovery can involve document review, a demand, negotiation, litigation and enforcement. These stages do not involve the same work. Ask WKA Advocates to confirm the proposed scope, fee basis, expected disbursements and how further instructions will be approved.
Information Needed for an Estimate
- The amount, debtor identity and age of the account.
- The contract, invoices or loan records.
- The debtor’s response and any genuine dispute.
- Existing proceedings, judgment, security or guarantee.
- The action you want the firm to evaluate.
Separate Fees From Other Expenses
Court filing, service, execution and other third-party costs may be separate from advocate fees. A court costs award is not a promise that the debtor will reimburse every expense. Confirm what is included and obtain advice on any proposed recovery-based fee arrangement rather than assuming a no-win-no-fee offer applies.
Assess Expected Net Recovery
Compare the available legal routes with collection prospects. A claim with good evidence may still face practical enforcement difficulties if assets are unavailable. Read our cost and strategy guide and settlement guide before deciding how far to escalate.
Discuss Your Debt With WKA Advocates
